Powered by a 471cc parallel twin-cylinder engine, with strong bottom end torque and a smooth, linear power delivery the Rebel is A2 licence friendly. It’s also slim, with a low seat height and therefore easy to manage at low speeds. The riding position is relaxed and neutral, with gently outstretched arms matched to mid-mounted footpegs.
The wide ‘bobber’ style rims and tires match the front two-piston caliper perfectly. There is a single-piston brake caliper on the rear wheel, and the two-channel ABS is part of the standard equipment.
The 41mm front fork has wide-spaced legs for stability, comfort and style. The new spring and damping rates also improve the driving experience. The 45mm tubular steel swingarm sits on twin nitrogen-filled Showa pre-adjustable shock absorbers that have been stiffer tuned to match the front fork.
The footrests are positioned in the middle, allowing for a relaxed riding position. They fit perfectly with the slim proportions of the Rebel and the low seat height of 690 mm. The new seat design provides additional comfort on longer journeys.
The One Button Speedometer is a compact 100mm diameter instrument with a negative LCD display and blue backlight. It is particularly clear and now also offers a digital gear display.
As with many traditional machines, the ignition is located on the left side below the fuel tank.
The round, retro-look LED headlight sits in a die-cast aluminum bracket and has a completely newly developed interior. The indicators are now also LED.
